BFS Seminars are smaller classes typically with 20 students or fewer (a third of the seats in BFS seminars are reserved for program participants). They should be intellectually challenging and still accessible to non-specialists in the discipline. They encourage close engagement to faculty, independent thinking, and the stimulation of research. BFS courses are integrative.
Course proposals will usually be submitted at least eight months before the course will be offered to allow sufficient time to gather all necessary approvals from the BFS Program and the appropriate departments and Schools.
We request your application to teach in Spring 2025 by September 9th, 2024. For Fall 2025 by January 15th, 2025. Thank you for your interest in teaching a Ben Franklin Scholars course! We will follow-up with you once we've had a chance to review your proposal.
